Who owns the copyright when purchasing an original big beautiful painting by Kristine Paton?
The copyright to any painting or reproduction does not automatically transfer to a purchaser when the artwork is purchased. Copyrights to all Big Beautifuls® remain the property of the artist, Kristine Paton, who reserves the exclusive right to the use of, or granting permission for the use of, all Big Beautifuls® imagery for any and all purposes. Protection under copyright laws is automatic in Canada: as soon as an original work is created, it is immediately copyright-protected. International treaties also protect Canadian copyrights in most foreign countries. Purchasers should keep this in mind when purchasing any of the artwork displayed on this or any other site.
How do I order my favourite big beautiful products?
Ordering takes just a few short steps--simply choose from the following options:
- Order any big beautiful product and make payment online with PayPal, an eBay company. We process online Visa, Mastercard, American Express and cash purchases using PayPal.
- e-mail your order to shopping@bigbeautifuls.com (do not include credit card information in email)
Currently, we will only accept your credit card payments using PayPal; other means of payment include bank draft or money order (Canadian or US Funds only, please). Orders other than credit card purchases will be shipped two business days* after your payment is received; we will contact you when your order ships.
IF YOU ARE A RETAILER INTERESTED IN CARRYING ANY BIG BEAUTIFUL PRODUCTS, please contact us to discuss details and requirements. We can also fulfill volume orders; please contact us for details.
Can I purchase Big Beautifuls® products locally?
If you are not comfortable shopping online, simply go to your local booksellers or gift shop and ask them to contact us for you. All the information they need to order our products is on this website. Simple and secure!
What taxes apply to my purchases?
A provincial sales tax of 7% of purchase price is added to all orders shipped within British Columbia and an additional federal tax of 6% of purchase price and shipping is added to all orders shipped within Canada. Sales tax is not charged on shipments outside of Canada.
How do I pay for online purchases?
We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Expess credit card payments online with PayPal, an eBay company. You may also wire funds through PayPal. Just click on the button and follow the easy instructions.
What are your shipping costs and delivery options?
The shipping & handling fees as indicated cover all costs of delivery to the purchaser; costs to ship original art work will be quoted & added to the price of the painting. Our in-house processing time for most orders is 1-2 business days and our primary carrier is Canada Post. Delivery times vary but we do allow a minimum of 5 business days for shipments on the West Coast and 10 business days for delivery to the East Coast. If you require express shipping please email or fax us your request (see below).
Business Days: Monday - Friday, excluding federal holidays within Canada and the United States.
Do you ship internationally?
To order outside North America, please contact us for individual purchasing and shipping arrangements. If you have any problems or other questions about ordering, please don't hesitate to ask for help. E-mail shopping@bigbeautifuls.com.
What if I'm not happy with my purchases?
We want you to love the products you receive. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your big beautifulstuff, simply e-mail the particulars to returns@bigbeautifuls.com or fax us the particulars to 1 866 887-3244.. You will receive a response within 48 hrs. We will refund the full purchase price excluding shipping & handling for any unused products that are safely returned within 30 days of purchase, prepaid shipping or parcel post to Big Beautiful Holdings Inc., at:

Big Beautifuls® is not responsible for returned items damaged or lost in transit. For your security, we suggest you use an insured courier; e.g., FedEx, UPS or Parcel Post, and retain your receipt.
